What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the gorgeous Forrest Pond Lodge. The venue is located at 4288 Howard Bo Warren Pkwy, Ludowici, GA 31316

How do I get to the venue from Downtown Savannah? If you are driving to our venue from Downtown Savannah, you can head southwest on Hwy 17 (Ogeechee Road) and continue for ~22 miles, then veer right onto GA-196 W and continue for ~9 miles, then turn right onto US-84 (Oglethorpe Hwy) and continue for ~24 miles. The drive leading to our venue is located directly off of US-84 and is a partial restricted usage road off to your right. Go through the gate, come down the drive, and the venue will be on your left.

How do I get to the venue from Savannah International Airport? If you are driving to our venue from the Savannah International Airport, you will head south on I-95 S and continue for ~16 miles, then you will take exit 87 for US-17 toward Coastal Hwy, then turn left onto US-17 S and continue for ~5 miles, then turn right onto GA-196 W and continue for ~9 miles, then turn right onto US-84 (Oglethorpe Hwy) and continue for ~24 miles. Is there parking available near your wedding venue? Yes! Please park in the grass parking area to the right of the venue. The ceremony will be held outdoors, in the back of the venue.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors? The ceremony will be outdoors, in the back of the venue. Dinner will be held inside the lodge. The reception will take place on the venue’s back patio area that is partially covered.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels? In the interest of allowing our guests greater flexibility in customizing their personal experience, we have not reserved rooms at any specific hotels. We have compiled a list of accommodations to consider under our website’s “Travel” tab.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one? In the interest of being able to seat all guests inside the venue for dinner, please refer to your invitation or our wedding website for guest allowances. If you have a plus one, you will see “guest” listed when you search your name to RSVP on our wedding website.

Am I allowed to bring my children? As much as we love children, please refer to your invitation as it will be specific with whom all is invited. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

What is the dress code for your wedding? Semi-Formal Attire: Men: long sleeve dress shirts, dress pants, tie/bow tie, and dress shoes. Women: long dress, short dress, or jumpsuit with flats, sandals, or thick heels (avoid stilettos).

What time should I arrive for the wedding? Please arrive at the venue no later than 4:15pm to allow ample time to get seated. If you have any difficulty finding the venue, please contact our day-of coordinator, Kathi, at 812-598-9783.

If there are any last minute changes or weather delays, how will I be notified? Please check the “Home” page of our wedding website before heading to the venue on the day of our wedding. Afternoon storms are common in Coastal Georgia and our wedding takes place during hurricane season. If we need to adjust the schedule due to weather, any updates will be made available on the “Home” page. We will also attempt to notify guests personally of any delays. Please contact our day-of coordinator, Kathi, if you have questions on the day of the wedding - 812-598-9783.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception? Following the ceremony, we will have an outdoor cocktail hour to allow time for pictures with the wedding party and immediate family. During the cocktail hour, we will have yard games, a grazing table with an array of light bites, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

What time will your wedding reception end? We will have an official exit at 10.30pm but feel free to keep enjoying the night up until midnight.

Will there be an open bar? We will provide beer, wine, and a signature drink that will be available during cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. We will have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Is there a gift registry? Making the long journey and gifting us with your presence on our wedding day is more than enough; however, if you would like to support us with a gift, you may view our website’s “Registry” tab.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding? There are so many great places to explore in the area! Please see our website’s “Things to Do” tab for our top picks!
