G & T

We met on Taylor's first day of work, where Glenn had started just a couple months earlier! This office was in Farmington, where we ironically live now. Our friendship grew, as co-workers, as our office transferred to Rocky Hill, where Glenn still currently works. Once Taylor was accepted into Graduate school (& realized she couldn't be tied to a desk all day) she left the company... We had our first date a couple weeks after we were officially no longer co-workers : ) on April 17, 2017.

After over 5 years of dating - grad school, job promotions, living & DIY'ing together at the condo in Cromwell, raising Goose, adventure trips, family vacations & holidays, and moving to Farmington - everyone was ready for this day! We took the train to Little Italy for the first time. While there we; had amazing pizza, espresso martinis, people watched and Glenn frantically searched for a "nice park to walk in." Frantically, because he had mentioned the Zoo (where he had a whole plan!) to Taylor on the train, but it was 95* out and she didn't want to run around the Zoo like they had done on a prior Yankee game day (literally we sprinted through the Zoo to see every exhibit-we like more than just dogs ;). We made our way to the Bronx, Glenn was quiet upon arrival, even at his favorite Sports Bar. Taylor wasn't positive something was up until Glenn shoved her in a separate security line right before they went through the metal detectors entering the Stadium. Glenn was quiet for the first 3 innings, too quiet, then pale! So Taylor got up to use the bathroom, in hopes Glenn would collect himself while she was gone, but he followed her! When Taylor emerged from the bathroom, Glenn was waiting for her, they walked around a bit then he got down on one knee. It was perfect!
