We cannot start our story without first including God, Faith, and His plans. Jeremiah 29:11 states, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope". This is how His plan has manifested in our lives. Since leaving the seminary in 2019, Taylor felt God calling him to discern marriage and family life. While this was no easy task, God would keep His promises. Taylor often prayed for his future wife and would ask God for His will to be done, no matter what. Taylor had to learn to trust God in the highs and lows and to let go and let God. After a few years, he found Gabriel's profile on Catholic Match, and he and Gabriel started messaging, eventually exchanging phone numbers. However, it was not God's time yet, as they would not meet in person for another 3 months. Gabriel experienced the heartbreak of losing 2 immediate family members. She felt her faith shaken and wondered if God had anyone planned for her. Despite her doubts, she was faithful to God, attended Mass more faithfully, and started getting closer to God through bible study. During this renewal of faith, she decided to sign up for Catholic Match where she and Taylor would connect. From the first few conservations, she felt a connection that was different than the relationships before, and their values of faith, love, and charity brought them closer together. Three months after matching, Taylor reached out to Gabriel. She was going to a rodeo in Sullivan, Missouri, and a demo derby the next night. Since they both enjoyed attending fairs at home, they decided to meet at the demo derby on June 24, 2023. After the night had ended, Taylor asked Gabriel to continue dating. Less than two weeks later, they had their first one-on-one date at Rockwood Reservation, and the adventure never ended. About nine months later, Taylor felt God saying she was the one; he would marry Gabriel one day. On June 22, 2024, almost a year after their first date, Taylor asked Gabriel for her hand in marriage. We are incredibly blessed to be entering this new stage of life, and we are excited to share our wedding with you all, seeing God move in more amazing ways.
