We recommend arriving in Europe a few days in advance (Saturday night at the latest) in order to account for delayed or cancelled flights, and to adjust to the time change. Cut it closer at your own risk ;)
We recommend flying into Florence and then driving the venue from there. Villa Nemora is roughly a 70 minute drive from the Florence airport and city center. Other nearby airports are located in Pisa (roughly a 2 hour drive) and Rome (roughly a 3 hour drive).
We highly recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay at Villa Nemora. The venue is located in the countryside and while it may be possible to call a taxi, they are not readily available. If you are planning to leave the venue at all during your stay, you will want access to a car. There is plenty of parking available on site. See the "Travel" tab for more information on renting a car and driving from Florence.
We have rented the entire property of Villa Nemora (consisting of three main villas) where most rooms have their own bathroom. In order to avoid extra fees, you will pay us directly for your stay. We will arrange where each guest will be staying, and you will be escorted to your room once arriving on site.
There are three villas on the property - Villa Nemora, Villa Fabbri, and Villa Felcai. The majority of guests will be split between Villa Fabbri and Villa Felcai, which are roughly an 8 minute walk from the main Villa Nemora. Each villa is equipped with a kitchen, living room, swimming pool, and several private rooms and bathrooms. Most rooms have a queen or king sized bed (or occasionally two twin beds pushed together) with their own dedicated bathroom.
Yes! Breakfast will be included all three mornings of your stay. Breakfast will be served at the main villa from 8:30 - 10 am, and 9:30-11 am the morning after the wedding.
Breakfast will be included every morning at the venue. Dinner on the first and second nights will be provided (welcome dinner and wedding dinner). A light lunch on the third day will be provided. Meals that will NOT be covered include lunch on the wedding day, and dinner on the last night (although we plan to bring a catering service to the villa that you can to partake in at your own expense). We will collect RSVP's for this dinner ahead of time.
Cocktail chic! For women - short to full length dresses, jumpsuits, and sets...think Autumn garden party! For men - button down shirts, slacks, optional jacket. No jeans please! Here's a Pinterest board for some inspiration! https://pin.it/1SJx5B6zo
Dress to impress! For women - mid to floor length dresses, muted/fall colors. For men - suits, jackets, ties, tuxes optional. No jeans please! Here's a Pinterest board for some inspiration! https://pin.it/6DWIwzMNs
We purposely booked a third day on the property so everyone can sleep in, spend time with each other, and enjoy the villa a little longer before setting off to your next adventure. Breakfast will be held from 9:30-11 am, and then we plan to relax by the pool all afternoon, with a very light lunch provided. If you would like to stay on site for dinner, we plan to bring a catering service to the villa for one last meal together. The cost of this meal will be at your own expense.
If you are not a member of the bridal party, then the wedding day will be free up until the start of the ceremony. The third is free, however we'd love for you to hang by the pool with us before an optional catered dinner that night.
Check-out from Villa Nemora is the morning of Thursday October 8th. After that, we hope you're on to your next European adventure or traveling home safely!
