Eric & I first met in middle school through a mutual friend, and what started as a simple introduction slowly grew into something more special. Before we ever had an official date, we spent a lot of time hanging out with each other. Those early days were full of fun, laughter, and adventures that made us realize how much we enjoyed being around each other. Our first official date was going to the movies to watch "The Goonies," which turned out to be the perfect start to our own life together. As time went on, everything between us just felt easy. We clicked in a way that made being together feel natural from the start, and before long we both realized we had found our person. On July 12th, 2025, my mom, dad, brother, Eric, and I were all on a float trip down the Illinois River near Tahlequah. After the float, we decide to go on a hike at lake Tenkiller. What I didn't realize was that Eric had a much bigger plan in mind. After a long hike in the summer heat (with no water), Eric got down on one knee and proposed!! Somewhere between trying not to melt in the Oklahoma sun and wondering how much farther we had to walk, the moment turned into one we'll never forget. Despite the heat (and questionable hiking conditions), it was the perfect start to our forever!
