We met on Tinder, ironically after I (Taylor) decided I was done with online dating apps and would only be open to meeting someone "naturally". It was April 7th, 2018, and the gals and I were headed to the opening day Lugnuts game. It was cold and rainy, and we were early, so we stopped into American Fifth to start day drinking. All of us were single, so as single ladies do, we all pulled out our phones and got on Tinder (well, I downloaded it...again). Fairly quickly, I came across Eddie and wanted to show my friend Lynne how cute this guy was, and I accidentally "super-liked" him, which isn't just a swipe right, it's a swipe UP and it means BUSINESS. A tiny blue star shot across the screen and then his profile was gone! Little did I know, it was Eddie's birthday, which means I am the best birthday present he has ever gotten. He was in town for an EMS class and didn't even live in Lansing, he was just going to LCC for school. Since I "super-liked" him, my profile stood out with a tiny blue star, and he swiped right to match with me. That was April 9th, 2018. He sent his first message that night, but I (like an IDIOT) waited until noon the next day to answer him back. We messaged back and forth all afternoon, until I had to stop because I was doing a brewery sponsored tiny 5k with my friends Roni and Shelby after work. I gushed about this cute guy named Eddie I started talking to that day, literally the whole 5k. We talked for three more days, and on April 13th, he asked if he could meet me for a drink and we set the date to the following Friday, April 20th. We had our first date at Zoobie's where we moved tables at least 3 times and talked for hours (we may have shut down the bar??). Fast foward to June 2nd, 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend and now, two houses, two cats, and one ring later, we will be exchanging our vows in a private ceremony on June 2nd, 2022! We are so excited to celebrate with our friends and family at our reception!
