Taylor and I got married in a private ceremony in Dunedin, New Zealand. Pronounced "Duh-need-an" not "Dune-eden". Our exchanging of vows took place in a gorgeous gazebo on the property of Larnach Castle. Some of you may have wondered why there was a random painting/picture on our invite...we are actually in that photo! It was absolutely breathtaking. What got us there? If you know either one of us personally (hopefully you do, ha) we both like to live outside the box. When we started to plan this wedding, it just seemed like our vows to each other would be overshadowed worrying about everyone else. We wanted to be as present, and intentional as possible. That being said, we always had our loved ones in mind to celebrate us by dancing the night away and having a heck of a time!
We first met at a BOMA networking opportunity. Both our companies had just joined, and we were by far the youngest of the bunch. He asked me to grab coffee so he could learn more about McCabe (my company). We made small talk after business, and realized we both wanted to sky dive. A few weeks later, I called West TN and made an appointment. My friends were very skeptical about me going with a “stranger”. One even said “Are you sure? Don’t you want to go with someone who is important in your life? You’ll remember this forever.” HA. I had a few people ask me if this was a date, I finally texted T and asked if it was in fact a date. His response? “No. I didn’t pay.” What a brat. Not even a week later he asked me to go see “Wreck it Ralph”. I told him I wasn’t a child, and to come downtown to a bar. The rest is history. Also, Taylor is absolutely terrified of heights. I wish I would have gotten a video of him jumping out of the plane, but this picture still shows how nervous he was :).
