Taylor and Daniel knew each other for about two years before they developed feelings. After Meghan, Taylor’s best friend, and Wes met, Daniel got to know Meghan very well. She spoke highly of them to one another. Daniel got Taylor’s number through his good looks and charm (but first through Meghan) and would text Taylor/ask her on dates over about 18 months. Taylor’s response rate was underwhelming. Unfortunately, Taylor was unaware of Daniel’s persistence and so he never allowed her lack of reply to diminish his hopes. Then, randomly during the first week of March 2018, Taylor came across Daniel’s Instagram “story” and discovered that he played tennis, a sport that Taylor had been interested in learning. She responded to his post with a message requesting lessons. At Javier’s after lessons, Taylor would say it was at that dinner table that everything changed between the two of them. Could this be the man she had been praying for? The following Sunday evening, Daniel invited Taylor over to his place. 1 glass of wine and 1 movie at 8pm turned into 2 bottles of red wine and 4 movies. They even watched the same movie twice (A Good Year – now one of their favorites). They ended up staying awake talking and laughing all night long, as if they had been friends for years. They finally fell asleep on the couch after the sun had risen Monday morning. From then on, they began going on dates and hanging out regularly. They quickly grew to love one another, and on the first day of Summer 2018, they made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend. After many wonderful memories together, taking various trips , and many special nights at The Mansion bar, Daniel decided it was time to lock up Tay Tay. Close friends and family anxiously waiting to surprise her, Daniel got down on a knee on the balcony at the Mansion on August 8, 2019 and asked his love to marry him. Stunned (Daniel, too) she said yes and then walked down to celebrate on the Mansion patio with their friends and family.
