We're Getting Married!!

Cruz and Taylor first locked eyes in Mr. Hernandez’s class at Day Creek Middle School. Although there was a spark even then, Cruz and Taylor never lit the flame. 8 long years later, Cruz slipped into Taylor’s direct messages on Instagram and said, “Haven’t seen you in forever. Hope you’re doing well :)” and the rest is history…well, not exactly. You see, Cruz and Taylor did not have an easy love story. In fact, they have survived grief, pain, and longing in their time together. Cruz and Taylor spent the entire summer of 2018 together. While they both knew there was a deep emotional connection, Taylor was beginning grad school halfway across the country, requiring a long-distance relationship. Cruz and Taylor parted ways when she left for Kentucky, but their love was infectious. Long nights of laughing on facetime calls later, Cruz and Taylor made their love “official,” launching into a 4-year commitment of long distance. Through grief, pain, and uncertainty, Cruz and Taylor persevered. Residing now in Las Vegas, Nevada, with their two fur babies Milo and Moose, Cruz and Taylor are enjoying stability together. Cruz proposed to Taylor on New Year’s Eve of 2022, by hiking the Kraft Mountain Loop in Red Rock Canyon. Of course, Taylor had no idea and was utterly shocked! They were accompanied by some of their best mates and later joined by Taylor’s parents. They kicked off the new year with one of the easiest decisions of their lives, each other. Cruz lights a fire in me that I didn’t know existed, and I have learned what it means to love a partner unconditionally because of him.
