Question

Why Knoxville?

Answer

The See family grew up visiting friends in Knoxville for fall breaks, Thanksgivings, and Easters and Taylor has always had an affinity for the Blue Ridge area. When Taylor toured The Standard, she immediately saw the whole wedding in her head and knew it was the place. We thought this would be such a unique area to collect all of our friends and family coming to visit from across the country and hope you enjoying getting to know this fun small city full and beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your children and they are invited to attend several events as part of our weekend celebration. All children are invited to the ceremony at the church. For the reception, we are delighted to provide child care and a fun evening at the hotel for all children under the age of 16. We encourage parents to fully enjoy the reception as adults instead of parents for the late-night festivities. Our babysitters are background-checked and highly recommended in the Knoxville area. All children will be welcome to our New Years Eve party the next evening.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We request our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding will be black tie- tuxedos for men and formal gowns for women. We would love to encourage the military members to dress in their formal dress uniforms.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

There are many great parking options in Downtown Knoxville. We recommend parking in local garages over the hotel parking. Parking is FREE at the City's Market Square (406 Walnut St.), State Street Garage (520 State St.) and Locust Street Garage (540 Locust St.) after 6 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the weekend. Normal weekday rates are $1 an hour. There are also metered spaces all around Market Square. Short-term meters charge $1.50 an hour, with a two-hour limit. Long-term meters (on the Gay Street Viaduct and along Depot Avenue and South Central Street) charge 30 cents an hour, with a 10-hour limit. https://www.knoxvilletn.gov/app/maps_parking Parking at the Hilton is $22/day for self-park or $26/day for valet. For the wedding ceremony, parking is reserved behind St. John's Cathedral off W Church Ave. If you wish to drive to the reception, free parking is available opposite The Standard on W Jackson Ave.
