Corey and I met in 9th grade math class but I’d had my eye on him shortly before we actually met. To my surprise, his eyes had been on me since the first day he saw me! The first time he caught my attention, we were on the bus going from the freshman building to the high school for football and tennis practice. I thought he was super cute and I knew he was the class clown. Corey noticed me on the very first day of school. He could tell you exactly what I was wearing, where I was sitting and who I was talking to! We never actually had the courage to say anything to each other but my friend, Kali, had no problem letting each of us know how the other felt. A few days later, Corey came up to my locker and asked me for the math homework and the rest is history! We’ve been best friends ever since.

My favorite day of all time! Our families have vacationed at Norris Lake for years now and it has become Corey and I’s happy place! Last summer, we went on our annual Marguerat vacation to the lake. Corey took me out on the boat to our favorite cove, Turtle Cove, where he popped the question! We went back to the house where both of our families were there to celebrate! It was everything I had ever wished for and more!
