This is an event to welcome our out of town guests, and engage with those we love in a more casual setting. Everyone invited to the wedding is welcome to attend, but no pressure if you would rather rest up for the following day! We will be outdoors, so dress warm. There is a cash bar, with food available to order if you wish.
This is entirely up to you! There is no set or required attire for this event! It is a casual, drop in style event for us to have more opportunities to visit with our guests!
There is no pressure to attend the welcome event, regardless of RSVP status. As previously mentioned, this is a casual event. The RSVPs were used as a gauge for the bar to reserve sufficient bar space and space heaters.
The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Union Station in downtown Charleston, SC. The address is 652A King Street.
Yes! There is a free lot behind the building that has plenty of room for everyone. However, please consider Uber or Lyft if you plan to drink.
Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time to park and find your seat. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5:30pm. The ceremony doors will close promptly at 5:25pm, so please plan accordingly. Any late guests will not be permitted entrance into the ceremony.
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults only event, with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night! If you need childcare but are from out of town, there are several trusted babysitting services in the low country, as well as a facebook group called Charleston Area Nanny Network.
In order to be present and engaged with us, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. We have hired two professional photographers to document the ceremony, so please allow them to do what they do best. If you are caught taking pictures during the ceremony, you will be asked to put it away immediately. However, after the ceremony feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like!
We hope you use this night to get all dressed up! Our dress code is black tie optional or formal attire. Please dress in dark colors like black, navy or dark greens and avoid bright or lighter colors.
Our venue has strict guidelines and requires the event to end by 11pm.
