❤️
It was important to us not to have a formal wedding party because we are incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many people who have shaped our lives, supported us, and walked through every season with us. Choosing only a few to stand beside us didn’t feel true to the way our story has been built — by a whole community of family and friends who mean the world to us and led us to who we are and where we are today. Rather than highlighting just a handful, we wanted the opportunity to find ways to celebrate each of these relationships in intentional and personal ways throughout this season.
Matron of Honor
I met Ashley playing Harrisburg Young Professionals sports, and during our very first game of “kong pong” in downtown Harrisburg she casually told me she just knew we’d be best friends. Honestly, I remember thinking there was no way I was cool enough for that 😂 — but thankfully she was right. Since then we’ve spent years playing sports, going out, creating way too many inside jokes, and crashing on the couch for date nights with her and Curtis watching New Girl when I had one too many. Somewhere along the way, her kids and Curtis became my family too. I’ve always admired Ashley’s marriage and hoped I’d find a love like theirs one day. But more than anything, Ashley has taught me what it means to truly love people where they are. We’ve never been in the same stage of life at the same time, yet she has always been my safe place — celebrating me, supporting me, and showing up for me exactly as I was in every season. Now that we’re finally entering the same phase of life — old, washed-up married NARPs — I can’t imagine anyone else standing beside me. She’s the sister God gave me a little later in life, and being able to call her my Matron of honor is indeed an honor.
Best Man
Corey isn’t just Chad’s Best Man — he’s his brother and one of his lifelong best friends. From growing up together to now sharing early tee times on the golf course, talking about the stock market, and enjoying an occasional glass of bourbon, their bond has only grown stronger with time. Corey has supported Chad through every season of life, always showing up with loyalty and encouragement. Having him stand beside Chad on this day is not only an honor, but a reflection of a brotherhood and friendship that has shaped so much of who he is.
