Wedding Party

Taylor Rhodes

Bride

Likes Hiking in the mountains, long walks on the beach, watching Romantic Comedies snuggled under a blanket with a cup of hot tea, cooking Recipes she finds on Pinterest, girly and pretty farmhouse decorations, and she thinks that airplanes are a superior form of modern transportation over helicopters due to the shear size and carrying capacity of the passenger cabin, unlike a helicopter. She also thinks it is also much more enjoyable to travel via plane at 550+ mph with minimal cabin noise and get across the world on a tank of gas, also unlike a helicopter. AND she finds that it is much harder to enjoy a nice morning bloody mary in first class seating of a helicopter...because there isn't first class and they don't serve bloody marys!!

Brendan Elliott

Groom

Likes doing things other than Hiking, not getting sand EVERYWHERE, watching an awesome movie packed with martinis, shaken, not stirred, Aston Martins, and saving the world from rich people with a bad motive and communists, and eating the food Taylor cooks, and re-purposing race car parts into decor and furniture, and he strongly believes that helicopters are a superior form of modern transportation over airplanes simply because they have the capability of landing and taking off from ANYWHERE a plane cannot. It provides a more universal and agile form of transportation that has many more applications than an airplane, and although it may be slower and smaller, helicopter pilots are much cooler.

Emily Bridges

Maid of Honor

I met Emily my freshman year of college, when we lived on the same floor in our dorm. She has always been there for me through everything. Whether I'm crying because something went wrong or need someone to go to the parkway with at midnight because I want to look at the stars. She's always the one I call. She's my best friend and I can't imagine walking down the aisle without her beside me.

Kevin Elliott

Best Man

The head honcho of Brendan's security detail. There's no doubt Brendan's younger brother, a fine specimen of the Elliott clan, would be the Best Man of our wedding party. He's been Brendan's favorite brother since birth and is the youngest one of the original Cedar Mountain Box Boys, but by no means the smallest (this is karma for the rest of us after picking on him like older brothers should). He might come across as shy in his first impression, but he's a true gentleman for the ladies and renowned Kingpin of the Underground NC State Tailgating scene.

Kathleen Elliott

Bridesmaid

Kathleen is Brendan's sister, and soon to be mine! I've loved Kathleen ever since I met her, she's too sweet not to. We've both grown up with brothers, so naturally our first reaction to each other after the engagement was "we finally get to have a sister!!"

Robert Garren

Groomsman

Nicknamed, "The Bear" for his incredible hugging capabilities, Robert is also one of the four original Cedar Mountain Box Boys. Continuing a tradition spanning generations, Robert and Brendan have grown up on the mountain together, and to this day, continue to find some kind of trouble to get into. Robert, a rising star in the Fort Collins music scene, would have hired to play drums with is band, but rather, he'll be too busy lighting up the dance floor with his incredible rhythm and jaw dropping dance moves. Sorry to say ladies, but he's taken.

Jessica Lucero

Bridesmaid

I met Jess in training to be a flight attendant. We became even closer after moving to our home base of DC. Although we don't live together, we basically should at this point. She has her own pillow, blanket, pajamas, and toothbrush at my apartment because we force her into staying over every time she's there. There's no one else I'd rather go to London with two times a week than her!

Robbie Lollar

Groomsman

When people hear the name Robbie Lollar, they don't even have to ask. His reputation for speed and good looks precede him. The fourth original member of the Cedar Mountain Box Boys, Robbie is our local Georgia Import and reigns from the kingdom of HOTlanta, GA. He's has spent his youth with Brendan, Kevin, and Robert helping cause a ruckus around the mountains of Transylvania County in a variety of bikes, cars, skateboards, and modified barbie jeeps. If you aren't impressed by what you've already read about Robbie, I'm sorry, but you cannot be helped.

Mckenzie Roers

Bridesmaid

Brendan introduced me to Mckenzie my sophomore year of college. We instantly became great friends. Between counterpoint, camping on the parkway, and our adventures in Utah. We can be apart for years and pick back up like we never left!

Ryan Rhodes

Groomsman

Ryan, Taylor's oldest and favoritest brother, is a avid outdoors-man who even Bear Grills envies. Finding himself wherever an adventure takes him. The wisest of men, and an expert in Taylor-isms, we look to Brother Ryan for further understanding on how to live one's whole life while sharing a home with Taylor. Thankfully for Brendan, Ryan is a loving older brother and never once threatened his well-being with trips to the shooting range, knife sharpening in the kitchen, or like activities during the early days of Brendan and Taylor's relationship.

Jessica Anocibar

Bridesmaid

Jess and I were roommates during flight attendant training. I walked into our room the first day arriving at training and had a sweet note from her saying "she couldn't wait to meet me." I knew then that she would be an amazing person, and an even more amazing friend. She definitely makes the skies friendlier and I am so glad I get to share it with her.

Andrew Lightsey IV

Groomsman

There's a reason he's named "Andrew Lightsey the IV." The Lightseys come from a family tree that bears Legends as its fruit. As a fellow App State ROTC graduate (Fire on the Mountain, yiiyii), and Brendan's roommate in Flight School, Drew has helped keep Brendan far from the path of good decision making when he's far from home. Despite being a mediocre FIFA player, he is a master of the ones and two, bringing on the nickname "DJ Butterfingers," and he'll have you cutting a rug and shakin' your rump.

Bailey Burgess

Bridesmaid

Bailey and I have grown up together our whole lives. She is the closest thing I've ever had to a little sister. From cardboard block fights, beach trips, to her eating hot dogs off the ground at camp creek, life just isn't the same without her in it.

John Enamorado

Groomsman

On the street, he's called "Smooth Criminal." Need I say more? John's been a good friend of Brendan since the early days of College when they shared the same stomping grounds across Appalachian's campus. After Taylor came into the picture, she and John have grown just as close of a friendship as he and Brendan (with equally as epic stories). We were certain that we couldn't get married without John playing a role the celebrations. He's a total charmer, but watch out because he's got a Twitter Game that puts Donald Trump to shame (Follow @pimpdaddy_swag).

Zach Fritz

Groomsman

Zach is one of Taylor's roommates and friends from the friendly skies at United, and much like Harry, plays an integral role in keeping Taylor on her toes; prepping her for what living with Brendan is going to be like. However, unlike Harry, Zach is totally obsessed with anything and everything related to Pittburgh (even the Steelers...so we feel sorry for him). As much as Taylor wishes Zach could be a bridesmaid, he sadly doesn't look that great in a dress, so he'll be joining Team Groomsmen to help keep things Schwifty at the Bachelor Party and Reception (and Brendan won Rock, Paper, Scissors over the duo).

Harry Alcorn

Groomsman

Harry is one of Taylor's roommates and best friends from the Friendly Skies of United. Much like Zach, Harry is a professional at driving Taylor crazy, and plays an integral role in training her for her life with Brendan. However, unlike Zach, Harry doesn't eat, sleep, and breathe Pittsburgh and PBR doesn't seep through his pores. Instead, he finds his tastes in the sweeter things like drinking milk from the jug and vineyard vines clothing. Taylor would have also loved to have Harry be a bridesmaid, and even though he could pull off a dress better than Zach, he pulls off bow ties, suspenders, and a suit much better (and Brendan won Rock, Paper, Scissors over the duo).

Faith and Grace Riffey

Flower Girls and Ring Bearettes

The sweetest of girls you could ever meet. Grace and Faith Riffey are wonderful family friends of the Rhodes’. They took over as Rhodes' children, along with their siblings Taylor and Hunter, when Ryan and Taylor moved out. Although they declined when asked to sing the Frozen soundtrack as a duet for the ceremony; we are thrilled to have the two of them prancing down the isle while throwing flower petals that are almost as cute as they are!

Cathy Rhodes

Mother of the Bride

The one and only Mother of the Bride! This lady has been by my side through everything. From kissing boo boos, cheering for me at every sporting event, talking me through all the drama in my life, encouraging me to chase my dreams, and now being by my side as I get married. She is caring, loving, understanding, hard working, beautiful, wild, crazy, and adventurous; somehow all wrapped up into one human. I cannot wait to cry together all day long together on our wedding day, cause "I'm just sayin," we all know were pretty emotional.

Scott and Melissa Elliott

Parents of the Groom

The masterminds of Brendan's ultimate success as a human being. These two have put up with the unspeakable, and have come out the other side intact. Motivating Brendan's knack for creativity and continuously inspiring him to be the best he can be, it's no wonder Brendan checks the box in *nearly* every item on the list of "what Taylor looks for in a guy." Now that they successfully birthed and groomed the perfect son, they have now taken their talents to Taylor. The Elliott parents have inspired her love of pottery, cast irons cookware, and taught her everything they know about getting Brendan to do what she wants and throwing away all of the cool stuff he's grown an emotional attachment to over the years.

Charles Rhodes

Father of the Bride

THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE, HE WRITES CHECKS... and so much more. Throughout my life, he has shown me the kind of man that I deserve; and through my parents relationship, what love truly looks like. He loves to keep everyone laughing and entertained. Unfortunately, I won't be able to ask him "what's for dinner" on this special day because we've already discussed that with the caterer. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle with him, and boogie on the dance floor.

John Kimmons

Officiant

I have known John for quite some time now. He has always been there for myself and my family through everything. He is one of the most caring, giving, and loving person I know. There is no one else we could imagine marrying us on our special day!
