How He Asked

If you know Brandon you know he doesn't do anything small, in every aspect of his life he goes above and beyond. It's one of the many things I love about him. But this day..left me speechless. I start the day with very little information on what we are doing, in fact I have zero information. My mind is going everywhere and he is loving every minute of it. We get in the car with Brody and I find out he has planned for my mom and Grandmama to watch him and we are meeting them at Market Street in Plano. Now my mind is really going everywhere because he has got every detail planned out. We meet them at Market Street and they leave, not giving me any information. I was even more confused because he tells me were staying there and someone is about to meet us. "WHO?!" I ask him, and of course his response is that he can't tell me. Wonderful. About 10 minutes go by and he tells me the person is here and we need to meet him at his car. What in the world are we doing with a stranger and why are we getting in his car...Turns out its this huge van. The whole ride the man and Brandon are waving the lack of information I have over my head. Again, Brandon is enjoying every moment of it. The man pulls into this open field and lets out a small balloon and watches it float away. Brandon looks at me and says, "Now do you know what we're doing?" Oh my god. We're going on a hot air balloon. After a wobbly way up, the ride became smooth and the views were breathtaking. Brandon was holding me and it was so peaceful up there that the fact we were thousands of feet in the air didn't even matter. The man tells me to look down at one point and there is a banner that says "Will You Marry Me?" Brandon gets down on one knee, he asked me to be his forever and opens a box holding his grandmothers ring. After a tearful "Of course" and much needed hug and kiss. He tells me his mom, iggy, grandma, my parents, and grandmama are all down there holding the sign. It was nothing short of a fairy-tale.
