FAQs

The Wedding Website of Taylor Engman and Brandon James
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 1st.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early. Please plan accordingly!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, then yes—you're welcome to bring a guest! If not, we’re keeping things intimate and hope you’ll still join us solo. We can’t wait to celebrate with YOU!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration, with the exception of the children in our wedding party. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy a fun night out!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a shuttle available after the reception that will drop guests off at a central location. Please note that transportation to the ceremony is not provided, so guests will need to arrange their own way there!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The wedding party will be staying in Fernandina Beach, so if you’d like to be nearby to hang out during unscheduled events and enjoy the beach, here are some great options: -Courtyard by Marriott Amelia Island -The Villas of Amelia Island -Surf and Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island -Airbnb or VRBO – Great for larger groups! (Tip: Booking through a local real estate company can help you avoid Airbnb fees.) If you prefer to stay closer to the venue, Hotels near the Jacksonville Airport are much closer to the ceremony and reception location! *IMPORTANT* this is a popular Spring Break time and location! We recommend booking your stay sooner rather than later - places are booking up quick!

Question

What do service rides look like in the area?

Answer

We have been informed that you will be able to get an Uber or Lyft from Fernandina and Jacksonville areas to the venue. However, service rides are EXTREMELY limited out of Callahan late at night. For this reason, we will be providing a pick up shuttle that will drop off in Historic Downtown Fernandina. From there, you can go out with the wedding party or catch a service ride home!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
