Welcome to Costa Rica! It’s officially the start of the seven-month rainy season, early May really isn’t that rainy. Most days are sunny with occasional afternoon showers. May marks the end of the dry season in Costa Rica. But Costa Rica’s rainy season starts soft and gradually builds over time. As a result, early May is often indistinguishable from the dry season. Only by the end of May do the afternoon rains become more consistent.
Please see our Schedule for the dress code for each event.
There are a bunch of grassy areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes.
Our wedding ceremony & reception will be outdoors pending weather. If rain is anticipated, the reception will be covered.
Yes! Don't forget to check your passports for expiration. Per Costa Rican regulations, your passport must be valid 3 months after your travel dates.
Yes! We would love for you to take pictures before the ceremony and during the reception. In order for you to be most present with us during the ceremony, however, we request that you silence or turn off your phone until we finish exchanging vows and rings. Please also be mindful of the professional photographers so that they can do their thing.
Unfortunately we will not have babysitters. In case you need, the payment and hiring of them is on you.
Newly elected President, Rodrigo Chaves, eliminated the mandatory use of masks for the population, as well as the obligation to be vaccinated against covid-19. The strict use of masks and vaccination is only enforced for front-line public health care workers. For the rest of the population, the use is voluntary.
