Written in His Timing

From a college classroom to forever in Paris

In January 2016, Andrew Dowell and Taylor Mullins met in a Psychology 101 class at Michigan State University, completely unaware that their story would one day come full circle. Andrew first noticed Taylor because she was playing a Kim Possible video game during class. Naturally, he had to start a conversation. One conversation led to another, and before long Taylor agreed to tutor Andrew. Ironically, his grades slightly dipped after her help, something they still laugh about today. Both were driven competitors from the start. Andrew played four years of football at Michigan State and competed as a true freshman, while Taylor ran the 400-meter hurdles, also competing as a true freshman. Both earned accolades as Big Ten Champions, All-Big Ten honorees, and recipients of various other awards. During college, Andrew took Taylor on a few dates, including trips to AMC Theatres to see The Jungle Book, visits to Cedar Point, and family graduations. Life naturally pulled them in different directions. Andrew went to New Orleans to continue pursuing football, and Taylor moved to New York City to build her career in public relations. Their lives unfolded separately for a time, but little did they know that life would bring them back together. Over the past few years, the pair has grown an intentional and faith-filled bond. In true Andrew fashion, he made a grand gesture and asked Taylor to be his girlfriend on a billboard in the heart of Times Square. From there, their relationship has blossomed — filled with concerts, special events, family gatherings, and so much joy. On January 27, 2026, Andrew proposed to Taylor at The Peninsula Paris with the sparkling Eiffel Tower behind them. A breathtaking moment marking the beginning of their forever. From East Lansing to Paris under the Eiffel Tower, their story is a reminder that the most meaningful things in life unfold in their own time, exactly as they’re meant to.
