About seven years ago, we met in class at Hendrix College. During this class, we learned we were both extremely competitive pickle ball and volleyball players. However, it was not until a few months later at an intramural volleyball tournament that we learned there could be much more to this than just good teammates. We learned a lot about each other and found some interesting similarities - we both come from large, crazy families, both are Catholic, and he went to an all boy Catholic High School while I went to an all girl Catholic High School. Quickly, he knew he could not let me go. However, it took me a few more months to come to this realization. After that, the next six years were filled with many adventures and memories with family and friends. Within those 6 years, we both graduated from Hendrix in 2017. Taylor pursued his Masters of Accounting at Hendrix while acting as a graduate assistant for the football team. As a licensed CPA, he currently works as a financial analyst for FedEx. I went on to pursue my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida where I just graduated in April of 2020, and now work as a pediatric PT at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. It was during my clinical rotation in Nashville where Taylor executed his perfectly thought out proposal. On our friend's beautifully decorated rooftop, he worked up the courage to get down on one knee. After some tears and saying "YES!," there was one more surprise. Both our families had travelled in and were waiting on the street to hear the good news and to celebrate! At over six years of dating (seven by the time we get married), we have lived an amazing rollercoaster ride and we look forward to seeing where the rollercoaster called life leads us next.
