Do I have to RSVP?

Yes, your RSVP will help us plan for seating and reception meals.

What time should I show up?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 4:30pm so please show up no later than 4:15pm to get your seat! Go straight to the Hanging Rock Cabin upon arrival. If it rains, ceremony will take place inside the Big Creek Lodge. The closest public bathrooms will be inside the Big Creek Lodge. This is the large white building on the first right on the way to the Hanging Rock Cabin.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

There will be an open bar that includes beer, wine, and spirits.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

On the RSVP page, if your guest's name appears with yours, then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Do I need to bring cash for anything?

Answer

Cash tips for the bartender would be appreciated, but not necessary!

Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

Absolutely not! Your presence is our gift. If you would still like to buy us a little something, you can refer to the Registry tab on the website and make a monetary donation to our honeymoon fund. Or if you prefer, bring a card with cash or checks on the day of the wedding.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions no later than May 20th so we can communicate the information to the venue.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

North Carolina weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors in front of the Hanging Rock Cabin. We intend for the ceremony to last no longer than 30 minutes, but we will likely be wearing sunscreen and we recommend it for our guests too. The reception will take place inside the Big Creek Lodge.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are taking place at Luna's Trail Farm and Event Center. Guests may drive from the ceremony location to the reception location. You can view the wedding venue here: https://lunastrail.com/ Scroll to the bottom to view a map of the 360 acre venue.

Will there be parking?

Answer

There will be parking at both the Hanging Rock Cabin and the Big Creek Lodge. Guests may park at the Hanging Rock Cabin for the ceremony and drive over to the Big Creek Lodge for the reception. If you're up for taking in a bit of the scenery and seeing some farm animals, it is just a short 10 minute walk between the locations.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride and groom will be taking pictures nearby with family and friends for the duration of cocktail hour. Guests can head straight to the Big Creek Lodge for drinks, appetizers, and to take in the views.

Is there a way for us to share our pictures from the wedding day?

Answer

Absolutely! Follow this link to upload your own pictures to our wedding Google Drive: https://weduploader.com/upload/stsw20b5wqxAFgra We will have QR codes that take you to this link at the wedding too. Just open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code, click on the link, and upload your photos. We've hired a very talented photographer, but we'd still love to see what you capture!
