Today's modern love story: a swipe to forever, only right of course! Thank you - Tinder! We were quick to meet up in person rather than talking over the phone. Since we were both busy college kids, Alex suggested we get together for a practical freshman fashion; study date! One study session turned into many throughout the first week, and between textbooks and late-night conversations, we quickly realized how natural our presence was. Our first official outing beyond textbooks was at The Summit Bar in Iowa City (romantic, we know). In July 2019—Alex finally asked Taylor to be his girlfriend. Over the years, we built a relationship filled with many memories, inside jokes, and endless support. Alex became a loyal cheer spectator, and Taylor attended more Phi Kappa Psi events than she ever expected. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2022, life took us in different directions. We spent two years doing "long" distance—from Illinois to Indiana—before finally moving in together and bringing home our first fur baby, Tito, in May 2024. Then, on March 29, 2025—after almost six years of love, growth, and laughter—Alex popped the question, and Taylor said yes! Now we’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
