We met at a chili's and I didn't think much of it, as I was his server and he was just another table (little did I know). After all the things you normally do when at a restaurant he left me his number on his tab, which I lost. A couple weeks go by and he came back in and said you never called. I said you didn't tip and I also lost your number, he tipped but not much, he said well give me your phone I'll put my number in and text myself. After going back and forth of why I should and shouldn't give him my phone. I gave him my phone he saved his number and texted his phone. He then asked me on a date, we went and had ice cream. He said he never wanted to get married and I thought uh nope. So we just became friends and talked almost every week for five years. We also hung out every blue moon. Then one day when Ole miss and Alabama were playing, Ole Miss won by the way, I went and met him, his sister, and friends to watch the game. Im not sure what made that night change everything but it did. We started hanging out more and more over the next year. Something just clicked and he became my best friend, someone I wanted to share everything with. A year turned into four and now we are planning our wedding! This life is absolutely crazy and I honestly couldn't imagine doing it with anyone else.
Our proposal story isn't romantic in any way, but it is very fitting if you know Alex. So I knew we were getting engaged, I just didn't know when. So... we were getting ready to go have dinner with my dad. I bent down to pick something up off the floor and Alex walks out of his closet and toots in my face, yes toots in my face. He laughs and says sorry. At this point I'm mind blown, not thinking of a ring or engagement. We are about to leave and I asked him if my outfit looks ok. He said yes but "do you know what would make it look better?" I proceed by saying, as I'm looking down, I don't know different shoes? He said no and pulls out the ring box and said this. I started crying telling him he is mean for playing this joke and he said I'm not joking put this on and then boom were engaged! Told you not romantic but very fitting. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you.
