Aaron was in North Carolina at the time on vacation when he sent Taylor a message - "Hey, what ER do you work at?" They talked nonstop for five days until Aaron got home. Just long enough for them to feel confident in each other, but short enough that meeting in person still required Taylor to share her location with her mom (just in case). Their first date was at The Cigar Bar on a Monday evening, where in true Aaron fashion, he asked if it was okay to bring his computer to study. At this point, it was obvious he was not in fact a serial killer and the location-sharing may have been overkill. At one point, Aaron became completely convinced that his cousin was there at the bar. Several minutes, a lot of laughing, and confident pointing later, they discovered that this man at the bar was definitely not related to him. In all fairness, Aaron did not have his contacts in and Taylor had no idea who his cousin was. They drank really strong black coffee and studied for the test Aaron had to take before midnight. Little did they know their Cigar Bar date would be the start of their forever together.
