Ian and I met on a hot summer day, during the EAA. We both decided to take a chance and meet up at a coffee shop called New Moon Cafe. Ian was a few minutes late and I was a few minutes early. I had not eaten much all day so I ordered a muffin and a strong coffee. Halfway through my late lunch, I noticed him before he noticed me. Ian walked in and immediately started scanning the room for my face. When our eyes finally met, he smiled. We started talking. We laughed and laughed for a few hours, then decided to go for a walk. Ian and I joked about everything and anything under the sun. We told our life's stories and lost track of time. Before we knew it, it was dinner time. Ian and I ate at a small pizza joint. Once we had finished, we realized we had been talking to each other for six hours. Ian was walking me back to my car, when I realized that I did not remember where I parked! We spent another thirty minutes walking the streets of Oshkosh searching for my car. I finally remembered that I had parked right next to the coffee shop. We had been walking around in circles for no reason! Ian laughed and picked on me a bit more. We hugged each other and I asked if he'd call me. He gave me a half smile and said maybe. Ian and I did not know that we would fall in love. We did not think that our lives would intertwine so quickly, but they did. We are so happy for that long six hour conversation. We are so happy to have you be apart of our life. 💕
