We both lived in Rochester and worked for the Mayo Clinic, but it took a digital match on February 5th, 2023, to finally bring us together. Six days later, on February 11th, we met in person for our very first date. Ahmed’s first impression was that Taylor was beautiful and incredibly kind-hearted, while Taylor found Ahmed to be remarkably sweet and down-to-earth. (Though Ahmed will say his first thought was "Jackpot!" and Taylor will tell you it was actually his Nike flip-flops that sealed the deal—even if our dog, Luna, later decided they made a great snack!)Our connection grew quickly. By March 18th, Ahmed wrote "I love you" in a journal in Arabic, leaving Taylor to happily decode it using Google Translate. Over the next two months, we completely realized we had found our person. Our favorite milestone yet came on August 24th, 2025, when Ahmed asked Taylor to marry him. We can't wait for the next chapter!
