What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the closest airport. Clearwater Beach is approximately 35 minutes from TPA and easily accessible via ride share.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes! Room block details can be found on the "Travel" page of our website. Note that these are only suggested places to stay, and there are a variety of hotels along the strip to choose from.

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception we ask that you please dress in formal attire. Midi or full length dresses for women and a suit and tie for men are preferred. We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing sundresses, short dresses, polo shirts or shorts.

Is the welcome party open to all guests?

Answer

Yes, this event is open to all of our guests and all ages. It is being held at the Sandbar at the Opal Sands Resort, which is located outside on the water. We would love to see you for a drink to kick off the festivities!

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will provide roundtrip shuttle transportation from the Opal Sands Resort to Harborside Chapel for the ceremony.

Is parking available at the wedding venues?

Answer

Parking is available at no charge at Harborside Chapel, where the ceremony is taking place. The Opal Sands Resort only offers valet parking at a flat rate of $20.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The cocktail hour will be outdoors on the water at the Event Lawn at the Opal Sands Resort, while the ceremony and reception will take place indoors.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. However, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card if you plan to attend the after party, as drinks following the reception will not be covered.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Yes, we just ask that, if needed, you step outside during our ceremony so as not to disrupt the ceremony. Note that kids ages 3 to 12 will receive chicken tenders, fries and a fruit cup for their meal. Kids under 3 will not be provided with a meal. Please contact Tayler if any concerns.
