Jake and I met over 5 years ago online. Our first date was at a restaurant called The Knick in Milwaukee, WI. Jake and I spent hours together, drinking, talking, laughing and soaking up each others company. However, I really fell head over heels during our second date at the Milwaukee Art Museum. It felt, easy and fun being around him and I had a feeling after the second date that this was a relationship I needed to continue to explore.

Jake proposed in picturesque Hallstatt, Austria in the Alps. We took a short ferry ride to the beautiful tiny mountain side village of Hallstatt. The village looked like something out of a Disney fairytale. We took a tram up into the Alps. He took me over to the overlook that extended over the edge of the mountain, over looking Hallstatt and the stunning lake it sits on. He told me he was going to take a picture of me facing the cliff edge. When he told me to turn back around he was on his knee and asked me to marry him. I was so caught in the moment that I could only nod my head as I rushed toward him. It felt like the rest of the world disappeared. When the world came back into focus I noticed that he had hired a photographer to capture the moment and to do a mini Proposal session afterwards. It was perfect.
