We’re getting married!

Our story is a unique one for sure! Here is the short version: David and I met at a local hangout/restaurant spot here in Livingstone. I was about 2 months into my 2 year commitment serving in Zambia as a missionary. In our first conversation, I could immediately tell David was unlike anyone I had ever met. We initially bonded over the fact that he is a police officer, and at the time I was doing prison ministry. We also had a mutual friend who worked within the ministry I was working with at the time. He asked me for my phone number the day we met, but I wanted some time to think about it. So, in response I asked for his number instead, lol (and apparently he thought I’d never text him). That same evening I decided to send him a message! We would talk for hours every night and built a beautiful friendship. We were upfront that we were both interested in being in a relationship together. We quickly found important qualities in each other that we were looking for in a spouse. Due to conditions out of our control, we remained friends for 2 years, while being intentional in getting to know each other as best we could. We were trusting the Lord to guide us! At the end of 2024, we decided to pursue a relationship with each other, knowing I would indefinitely be in Zambia. Throughout 2025, we spent time together, created memories, served in our church together, and continued growing closer. This was when were knew we wanted to take the next step- GET MARRIED! So, here we are today! Engaged and excited for what God has in store for our lives together. We have passed through so much in the 3 years we have known each other, and I am so grateful it has only made us stronger. Only God could have written our love story.
