We met through our friends while in our student campus ministry at Montana State University. We were both invited to go on a group spring break trip with our friends to California. Though we didn't know each other that well before the trip, it didn't take Caleb long to realize when he got back to Montana that he wanted to ask me out. On March 24th, 2024, we had our first date up at Hyalite Lake around a fire that Caleb had built. There was something special about that day and no doubt we both knew there were many more dates to come. I was drawn to Caleb's love for Jesus, his goofiness and ability to make me laugh, and the fact that he was easy on the eyes, lol. I mean the dimples, come on. Over the next several months, we created so many memories together: watching sunsets, going on runs, boat days on the lake, and talking about God. This in turn deepened not only my love for Caleb but my love for Jesus, the One who loved us first. Caleb came over for many family dinners and quickly got to know my parents and the rest is history-they love him. I remember telling my dad one night that he was the one and that I wasn't going to be bringing anyone else home. Over that summer, Caleb took me back to his home in Camas, WA. It was so cool to see where he grew up and I loved deepening my relationship with his family! It was easy to fall in love with them, too. Over winter break, Caleb excitedly asked my parents for their blessing. Unbeknownst to me, Caleb had planned the sweetest proposal for February 28th when he got down on one knee. I said YES!!
