We first met working on a school research project together. Through all the time we spent together working on our project, we realized how much we enjoyed the time we spent together. We progressively started to talk more about our faith and our families until eventually, Sam asked Taylen out on a date at the end of spring break. On March 25th, 2022, we went on our first date in downtown Lynchburg. Over the next 10 months we got to really know each other and went to the outer banks with Sam's family, Idaho to see Taylen's family, and had lots of little adventures in between. Then on February 5th, we got engaged on Cole mountain. The proposal was beautiful and a few of our friends were hiding in the bushes ready to take pictures. Afterwards Sam organized a surprise party with a bunch our good friends to celebrate. Since then we have been enjoying our engagement and been having fun wedding planning and preparing for the new chapter of life ahead. We are very excited for marriage and excited to celebrate our special day with friends and family.
