Please plan to wear semi-formal attire. Wear something you're comfortable in, but just not as casual as jeans and a tee. Some ideas include button-ups, suits, flowy dresses, cocktail dresses. Please avoid wearing primarily white or ivory, as this will be reserved for the bride!
Yes! Weather depending, the ceremony will be outside a very short walk from the barn where reception will be held. If it is too hot or raining day on the wedding, both ceremony and reception will take place in the air conditioned barn.
Immediately after the ceremony, guests may enjoy refreshments, games, a photo booth in the short span before bride and groom arrive and the party will begin! You are invited to enjoy the nacho bar, cake, and a variety of games to enjoy with the bride and groom at the reception!
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly for seating arrangements and food.
From I26, head North (the direction of McDonald's) on Bobby Hicks Hwy. In 0.3 mi, turn left on Old Grey Station Rd (at the light at Dairy Queen). In 0.5 mi, turn left onto Maple Drive. In 0.2 mi, turn right onto Liberty Church Rd. In 400 ft., turn left onto Center St. Whispering Oaks will be in 0.1 mi on your right behind the Gray Fair Grounds. Whispering Oaks grass parking lot is framed by a white fence, please pull in here and the parking director will motion you to a designated spot.
It is recommended you arrive half an hour prior to the start of the ceremony to ensure everything can begin on time.
Parking is free! Please park in the assigned white fenced in lot. A parking director will be on site and direct you to a spot to ensure sufficient rows are maintained. If you have a handicapped driver/rider, please pass the white fence and enter the property on the brick driveway and you will be able to provide drop offs and park at the end of the drive near the house.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
The deadline for RSVPing "yes" or "no" is on May 20th, 2023. Yes! You can RSVP on this wedding website under the RSVP tab. Please be sure to let us know if you will OR will not be able to attend, as this gives us accurate numbers for seating and food.
Yes! The entire venue (including bathrooms) are ground level and can be accessed via wheelchair. There are a few handicap parking spots available as well. Please let Tayla know if you will be needing a handicap spot so it can be properly arranged.
Yes! We will be having a nacho bar that includes meat, cheese, a variety of veggies, salsa, guacamole, and a variety of fruits. Desserts will include delicious cake or cupcake options.

Please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony as we have professional photographers on site for this. We welcome you to take pictures during the reception to capture the fun and please tag us using #piercethenight
