Our Story
From the Beginning...
Tayla and Kory met on Hinge after Kory responded to Tayla’s bold profile opinion: “Schitt’s Creek > The Office.” That message led to their first date at Lord Hobo Brewery, and even though Tayla nearly canceled (life was hectic!), a coworker convinced her to go, “this could be your future husband!!” Good thing she did, because Kory says he knew that night she was the one. Soon, Kory was helping build Tayla’s bed at her new apartment she moved into the week after their first date and secretly telling his family he was “out with ref friends.” They quickly grew closer and closer. They explored the world together seeing places like Belize, Portugal, Jamaica, Ireland, Iceland, and more, always chasing adventure together. They even “accidentally” became parents when adopted their sweet Frenchie, Nori!!
The Proposal
In May 2024, after Tayla was convinced it was going to happen in Iceland (she had the most perfect nails and outfits packed) the proposal happened, right here in Boston! After working her first stretch of night shifts in nearly a year, Tayla was sound asleep and woke up to Kory calling her saying “wake up you’re going to be late for the dinner.” She thought they were heading to a friend’s birthday dinner. She quickly got ready to go out thinking it was just a casual birthday… Kory told Tayla everyone was taking pictures at Fan Pier Park first. Tired, hungry, and walking in heals on cobblestone, she tried to skip the walk and pictures. Kory insisted they go take pictures; Tayla was annoyed. Kory was acting weird and they were even walking the wrong way, which Tayla kept pointing out, but Kory kept ignoring it. Tayla knew something was off and even saw a photographer. She looked in his pocket for a ring box thinking, “wait is he going to propose?” They walked a little more and they stopped to “try to find everyone” and then, surprise! He proposed, ring box hidden in his sock. It was perfect and Tayla was so surprised, thrown off by the fake dinner plans and group messages Kory created! Now, they can’t wait to celebrate with you!
