Our story starts in high school, Derrick, a junior, and I, Tayla a senior. We had dated for a short time a few years before so we both already knew of each other and had a connection. But it wasn't until our junior and senior year that we became really close friends. I was already a student athletic trainer for the football team at the time, and Derrick, a player on our highschool team at the time too. We were already seeing each other all the time at school, football practice, and games. We started spending time with each other outside of school which led to our first date at a haunted corn maze in our town. Not too long after that date on October 23rd, 2014, Derrick asked me to be his girlfriend in the student parking lot right before school started. I said yes of course! From that day we've journeyed through life's celebrations and challenges together ever since. In that time together, we've welcomed a baby boy, Kai Brown, on December 20th, 2018 and a baby girl, Kenzley Brown, on September 30th, 2020. Both of God's greatest gifts to us. We are beyond excited and cannot wait to finally become Husband and Wife and to unify our family on March 5th, 2022!
