FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Since this is a destination wedding, please RSVP by 1st February 2026 so we can save you a seat in paradise!

Question

Do I need to book my own hotel?

Answer

Yes, please book your accommodation. You may decide to stay at the Sheraton or other nearby hotels are listed in the FAQ below if you prefer to stay elsewhere.

Question

When/how should I book accommodations?

Answer

We recommend booking as early as possible using booking.com. All bookings can be made without prepayment.

Question

Are there other hotels nearby if I don’t stay at the resort?

Answer

Absolutely! Here are some great nearby options: Luxury (Denarau Island, ~20 mins) • Sofitel Fiji – 5-star Upscale resort with spa, beach club, and adults-only options. • Radisson Blu – 5-star Family-friendly with lush gardens and waterslides. • Crowne Plaza Fiji

Question

When should I book my flights?

Answer

We recommend booking flights as soon as possible, but we understand that may not always be an option. Alternatively, between February and March 2026 (3–4 months out) is a good time to book also. Our wedding is during Fiji’s dry season, with sunny 26–28°C days, calm waters, and beautiful sunsets — and it’s just before the busy school holiday period, so you'll avoid peak crowds and pricing.

Question

What’s the best airport to fly into?

Answer

Fly into Nadi International Airport (NAN) — it’s the main airport in Fiji and just 15 minutes from the resort.

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to Fiji?

Answer

Nope - just bring your passport!

Question

How long does it take to get to the resort from the airport?

Answer

The resort is only a 15-minute drive from Nadi International Airport (NAN).

Question

What’s the best way to get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Taxis and private transfers are available at the airport. We’ll also share group transport options soon.

Question

What’s the best time to arrive for the wedding weekend?

Answer

We suggest arriving no later than Thursday 18 June 2026.

Question

How many nights should I stay?

Answer

Most guests are staying 3-4 nights, but feel free to extend your trip and enjoy more of Fiji.

Question

Will there be a welcome event or other group activities?

Answer

We’d love for you to join us for sunset drinks and good vibes as we kick off this special wedding weekend! Outside of these moments, this is your holiday too - relax, explore, unwind. No set itinerary!

Question

What should I pack for the trip?

Answer

Think light, tropical, and comfortable: Swimwear, sandals, sunscreen, insect repellent Lightweight clothing, a hat, and sunglasses Something dressy for the wedding and welcome drinks A light jumper — evenings can be breezy in June

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Yes — we’re going with Island Resort / Cocktail Formal attire. Think elevated and elegant, but still relaxed enough for a tropical setting. For inspiration: Ladies: Flowy dresses, silk sets, midi or maxi dresses. Heels or dressy sandals welcome. Gents: Linen or lightweight dress shirts, tailored pants or chinos, optional blazers. No ties or jackets required unless you want to! Avoid anything too casual like thongs, denim, or swimwear.

Question

Are meals included with my stay at Crowne Plaza?

Answer

Breakfast is subject depending on what room you have booked and if it is with the Sheraton or another resort. All other meals (lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks) are not included — but the resort has multiple restaurants, bars, and room service available, plus plenty of options nearby if you feel like exploring.

Question

What’s the currency in Fiji? Do I need cash?

Answer

Fiji uses the Fijian Dollar (FJD), and here’s some good news — your money goes further! On average, $1 AUD gets you around $1.45–$1.50 FJD, so you’ll get great value on everything from cocktails to souvenirs. Most resorts, restaurants, and shops accept international credit and debit cards, including Australian ones (you’ll be charged in FJD). That said, it’s handy to have some local cash for taxis, tips, markets, and smaller local spots. You can exchange money at the airport or withdraw from ATMs in Nadi and at the resort.

Question

Will my phone work in Fiji?

Answer

Yes! Most Australian phones will work in Fiji — but roaming through your usual provider can be expensive. For an easier and more affordable option, we recommend downloading a travel eSIM app like Airalo. With Airalo, you can buy and activate a Fiji data plan before or upon arrival — no need to swap SIM cards or visit a shop. It’s perfect for staying connected with maps, messages, or social media while you’re away. You can also use Wi-Fi at the resort for free apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, or iMessage to stay in touch.

Question

What kind of weather should I expect in June?

Answer

June is Fiji’s dry season — expect warm days (25–28°C), gentle breezes, and stunning sunsets.

Question

Can I bring kids?

Answer

Absolutely! The resort is family-friendly with kids’ clubs, pools and fun activities for all ages.

Question

Should I book activities in advance?

Answer

We recommend booking popular experiences like island cruises, spa treatments, and ziplining early.

Question

Will I have free time for sightseeing?

Answer

Absolutely - this is your holiday too, so there’s no set itinerary. Feel free to spend your time however you like. We’ll only be involved in a couple of pre-wedding events, so outside of those, don’t feel the need to check in with us. Just relax, explore, enjoy the island… and be ready to celebrate with us on the 20th!
