“We’re getting married!”

We had planned to go golfing 2 hrs. away in Kara's hometown. She believed that my friend, Jackson, was going with us. (He was not.) She thought he stood us up and was not happy about it. When we reached Crossville, I told her I needed to stop and buy golf balls. (This was an excuse to stop and tell her sister the plan.) She went golfing with me. Afterwards, we ate dinner with her family. She was clueless about what was to come. I was nervous all day! After dinner, we drove to Sunset Rock Overlook to meet her sister. We sat in the back of the truck, talking and enjoying the view. Before we left, I asked her to take some pictures. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said, "Yes!".
