hi!!! If you are here you most likely know me & my Bretty. we’ve been together for 5 years on September 18th, 2023. Brett & I met through mutual friends one night & we’ve been together ever since. My favorite story is our proposal story from last December so here we goooo! We had been looking forward to our big snowboarding trip all year long. A snowboarding trip right before Christmas in the beautiful mountains of Beaver Creek, Colorado..truly nothing more magical. I, (Tay) had known it was gonna be a big trip but not like thatttt big haha. We spent most of our time snowboarding & cozying up to the fireplace in our hotel the first two days. On the third day, we had plans to head into town with my friend Casey who lives in Denver, CO (about 2 hours from BC). She knew all the cool spots in Vail, very close to BC, & said she wanted to show us around! We ate a delicious lunch & then proceeded to start shopping (duh!) I remember thinking… this is the perfect day. & I had no idea what was coming, haha. Casey took us into this beautiful hat store next to this picturesque bridge called Kemo Sabe. we went in, tried on hats, & left empty-handed, sadly haha. Brett asked me if I wanted to take a picture in front of that pretty bridge that was right outside the store & the next thing I knew… I’m posing to take a picture & Brett turns me around & GETS DOWN ON ONE KNEE!!!!!!!!! I immediately started crying (me- not a crier) & of course I said yes!!!! The hat store came out with champagne & two glasses after I said: “yes” (insert happy cry here). Between the proposal & the snow coming down on us, I truly couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful moment that I will never forget. & little did I know, Casey was in on it the wholeee time! She scoped out the bridge, went into the hat store & set up the whole thing for them to help us get engaged before she picked us up that day! We could not have done it all without her! We went back into the hat store, naturally haha, because I needed to buy something as a souvenir for the best day ever!!! Bretty bought me a hat & had it branded with our initials on it. ♥️ I don’t think anything will ever top this day except for our wedding day, duh!! we are so excited to get married & are counting down the days!
