How We Met

When Bo and I met, I knew he had a sense of humor and we were a good match because he asked "what flavor Presbyterian I was" HaHa! We hit it off as soon as we started talking and had our first date over a cup of coffee. Although Bo was late, I decided to keep him around. The next year was filled with more laughter, weekend trips to see each other, and more sweet notes than I could ever have imagined. Being long distance is never ideal, but it made our relationship stronger and the times we saw each other more sweet.

The Proposal

Our first official date after we met was a hiking trip up Sawnee Mountain. About a year later Bo took me hiking at Amicalola Falls. By this point we had talked a lot about marriage, and I was on the lookout for any signs of a proposal. Before we started the hike I checked our backpack for a ring, but found nothing. Bo didn't have anywhere else to put a ring box so I came to the conclusion that he must be planning to propose at the Auburn game a few weeks later. With the idea of a possible proposal out of my mind, I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon with my best friend. When we got to the falls Bo made me take all the steps to the very top (that's about 600 stairs up a 729-foot waterfall). After making it to the top, we stood on the bridge over the falls and took in the beautiful view. When I turned around Bo was on one knee with a ring in his hand. He asked me to marry him and of course I said YES!!!! The Lord has been so amazingly gracious in bringing Bo and me together. The friendship and love that he has created is something that we cannot wait to enjoy for the rest of our lives! We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our story with you!
