It's hard to not include God in this story, because we wouldn't be here without Him. The odds weren't really in our favour, if you include the 4,000 mile distance, the 5-6 hour time difference, the Atlantic Ocean and the language barrier (American to English). It all started with a chance encounter in a coffee shop called Crema in Brentwood, Tennessee. Followed by a lot of umming and ahhing from Luke before he finally plucked up the courage to send Taya a message on Instagram. After countless Zoom dates, audio messages, FaceTimes, flower deliveries, post-it notes written, failed movie dates, virtual dinner dates, approximately 64.6 hours spent flying, it's all paid off and finally the long-distance is coming to an end. We are so excited to see what the rest of this adventure holds. The best is yet to come.
