Take a sightseeing water taxi from the Alexandria waterfront to Georgetown DC or The Wharf.
Mt. Vernon is a 15 minute drive from Old Town and sits directly on the Potomac River.
Central hub for most monuments and museums. Only a short 15 minute drive into the city from Old Town.
Great neighborhood for shopping and dining. Places to eat- Filomena, Clyde's, Martin's Tavern, La Chaumiere.
Another great neighborhood for wining and dining. We love Le Diplomate.
