Luke and Tava met unexpectedly at church. After finding out that they had more in common than they thought, Luke very suavely asked Tava to get coffee. The coffee date was just okay. The second date however, lasted for 6 hours- involving a long hike, 2 restaurants, and some refreshing heart-to-heart conversations. Luke was cheesing super hard after the second date and called his friend Josh, who teased Luke that he "was going to marry this girl"- and it was the first time that Luke felt that it could be true... Tava went home to her roommates and told them how perfect Luke was. Her best friends loyally tried to convince her that Luke was just lying and was actually a serial killer with more sinister motivations- and it was the first time that Tava felt that this definitely was not the case, and Luke could actually be the one she had been waiting for... After several more dates, traveling to 2 states, 4 countries and an almost 2 year long-distance relationship, Luke asked Tava to marry him on the northern coast of Oregon at sunset over a beach bonfire complete with wine and cheese. Unfortunately Tava was in a fugue state due to COVID-19, so she barely remembers what went down. After she got better Luke recapped the whole thing to her and she agreed, for a second time, to marry him.
