Tauryn and Jonady’s story began in 2014, when a mutual friend connected them as they were both starting college. Although they didn’t attend the same school, their paths crossed occasionally when Jonady would visit. At the time, they were simply part of the same circle, but their story was just beginning. In January 2016, Tauryn went on medical leave and returned home to Texas for the semester. During that time, Jonady reached out to check on her, and their connection began to grow through regular conversations, texts, and FaceTime calls. What started as a simple gesture of care quickly became something more meaningful. When Tauryn returned to Boston in the summer of 2016, Jonady was there to help her move into her dorm. From that point on, they became nearly inseparable. Even before they officially started dating, they had already formed a strong partnership: spending their time working out together, supporting each other through school and work, and choosing to be side by side in everyday life. What made their relationship stand out early on was how natural it felt. There was never pressure to change one another—only a shared desire to grow individually while supporting each other along the way. Together, they worked through past challenges, creating a space built on trust, understanding, and genuine care. On July 26, 2017, Jonady made it official and asked Tauryn to be his girlfriend, but by then, their bond had already been well established. After college, as Tauryn pursued her path to medical school, Jonady and his family welcomed her into their home. That chapter of their lives was defined by support, transition, and deepening commitment. Eventually, they moved into their own place and continued building their life together. Their family grew with the addition of their dog, Kairo, who quickly became their baby. Raising him together brought them even closer and gave them a glimpse into the kind of family they hope to continue building. Over the years, Tauryn and Jonady have grown not only as individuals but as a team. As Tauryn pursued her dreams of becoming a surgeon, Jonady fully committed himself to fitness and his business, LIT2LIFT. While Tauryn supports him when she can, Jonady has been the one to carry much of the day-to-day responsibilities and financial support, making it possible for Tauryn to focus on her studies. His dedication, drive, and consistency have been a cornerstone of their partnership, showing how love and teamwork extend beyond just romantic moments. They’ve built a business together, supported each other through life’s challenges, and remained grounded in what matters most— their friendship. They are each other’s safe place, biggest supporters, and constant source of laughter. On April 26, 2024, during Tauryn’s first year of medical school, Jonady planned a special moment to take the next step. After attending her end-of-year formal, he took advantage of the occasion (and how good they looked that night) to ask her to spend forever with him. She (of course) said yes!
