Where should I stay?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriot Philadelphia Devon/Villanova. Please see the Travel page of this site for the specific link to book one of these rooms at the group rate. There is a list of additional hotels in the area also on the Travel page. If you prefer to stay at an AirBNB, we recommend staying close to the venue in the Devon / Wayne / Berwyn / Great Valley / Valley Forge areas.

How can I get to and from your venue?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle service from the Courtyard Marriot Devon to the venue starting at 4:30 PM before the ceremony and returning to the hotel after the reception starting at 11:45 PM. Please see the timeline below for more details and additional shuttle times. If these times do not work for you or if you are staying elsewhere in the area, the venue is only a 15-minute walk from the hotel we have blocked, a less than 5-minute drive from the hotel, or a 5-minute walk from the SEPTA Devon station. Ubers and Lyfts are also available in the area, and guests are able to leave their vehicles parked at the venue overnight if they choose.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Considering that a Mid-Atlantic August can be extremely hot, we would like to prioritize the comfort of our guests by requesting "Garden attire" for our special day. Examples: Ladies: sundresses, floral patterns, light/flowy fabrics Gentlemen: light colors and fabric suits, ties not required If you're unsure or need inspiration, reach out to us or other guests

Where are you registered for gifts?

While we do have a registry (please see that page of this site), we are welcoming cash gifts as we will begin house hunting shortly after our nuptials and are unable to register for too many specifics just yet

What is the wedding day itinerary?

4:30 PM - First shuttle from the Courtyard Marriot Devon to the venue 4:50 PM - Second shuttle from the Courtyard Marriot Devon to the Venue 5:10 PM - Last shuttle from the Courtyard Marriot Devon to the venue 5:15 PM - Begin guest seating 5:30 PM - Ceremony begins promptly 6:00 PM - Cocktail hour 7:00 PM - Estimated dinner start time 8:00 PM - Estimated reception start time - let's celebrate! 10:45 PM - First shuttle back to the Courtyard Marriot Devon 11:05 PM - Second shuttle back to the Courtyard Marriot Devon 11:25 PM - Last shuttle back to the Courtyard Marriot Devon 11:00 PM - DJ ends. Please collect your belongings and exit the venue, but don't forget to grab some cookies on your way out! If you have the energy, make your way to the Courtyard by Marriot Philadelphia Devon/Villanova to continue at the after party with a cash bar. Bridesmaids, groomsmen, and select other family members will be alerted of additional details as necessary.

Is it ok to post photos on social media?

Answer

While we know it's hard to resist, we will be observing a no phone ceremony. Please make sure phones are off and away during the ceremony and we promise to share photos later! Once the ceremony is over, snap as many pictures as you'd like and feel free to share.

Do I have a plus one?

Only if your invitation and RSVP include one.

Can I bring a plus one if my invitation/RSVP do not include one?

Answer

While we normally say the more the merrier, our guest list is restricted by the venue's capacity so we are unable to extend additional plus ones if you do not already have one.

While we love your littles, our guest list is restricted by the venue's capacity so we are unable to extend invitations to children. We hope you are able to find accommodations and use this as a night to celebrate!
