We met when Taunya walked into Tru's store (AT&T) to upgrade her iPhone. Tru quickly dropped what he was doing to assist her. Upon getting an idea of what she wanted, he ushered her towards the latest iPhones. After more than 30 minutes of random yet intriguing topics of discussion; she finally decided on which phone she wanted. However they didn't have ANY in stock. Tru advised her to "call or text" him to check back later on in the week. This was his way of getting her number ;-). The love story took flight.

For the second year in a row, Taunya's birthday was planned to a "T" by Tru. He wouldn't provide her any details of the day except for her annual birthday Game Knight. After a day filled with events, close friends started to arrive for Game Knight. After a few fun rounds of Taboo, we decided to play the game "What Do You Meme". Taunya had announced that she was going to "sit out on this round". Tru (behind her at this time) very authoritatively stated "No you're not!". The tone of his voice made her turn around to find him on one knee, requesting her hand in marriage. He made sure her close friends were around and had her mom on FaceTime; She gleefully stated "always", but had to confirm it with a "yes" for "legal purposes" LOL (inside joke).
