Plenty of shops, people, and cafes. Ximen (around the MRT station) ZhongShan (around the MRT station) Xinyi (the area between Taipei 101/World Trade Center and Taipei City Hall)
Popular landmark. Good for shopping/fancier restaurants. If you are in Taiwan for New Years Eve, there will be fireworks coming out of 101. However, it's gonna be quite crowded no matter where you go. The featured photo above was taken in Zhongshan Park. Notes: - Try to get to your firework viewing spot at least an hour or two beforehand. - The MRT will be running past midnight for New Years Eve.
Bustling & Youthful Shopping Area. Lots of tourists. Lots of taiwan teens. Very crowded on weekends.
For beautiful riverside walks
