We met at our first jobs—at one of the groomsmen's weddings! I worked in the farm stand, and he worked in the barns. All of the farm family was out for the day of the wedding, so we were left in charge of our respective areas. Our boss asked me to get his number, obviously for work. I thought he was cute but I didn't think he liked me. Then after texting for a while, we started to flirt and talk pretty much every day. He asked me out while I was away on a family camping trip. The rest is history. 8/10/2020
We had talked about getting engaged a lot recently but I didn't think it would happen until closer to the end of the year. We were driving home from getting groceries when he turned the wrong way. "Where are we going?"I asked. He claimed we were checking out our favorite fishing spot to see how the weeds looked and to see if that was where a buddy and he went in the morning. I didn't think anything of it. We parked and he said he just needed to grab something. I hopped out and walked to the end of the ramp. The sun had started setting so it was a bit dark. I commented on how I couldn't see much. When I turned back, there he was down on one knee. I couldn't even talk as I just started crying. I nodded and he got up and hugged me sliding the ring on my finger. I cried happily in his arms. 9/21/24
