Travel Note
Just FYI for those who are from out of town: If you stay in or travel to the Eastside, there are two bridges across Lake Washington. One of these is always clear of traffic! But that's because it has a toll. This is the SR-520 bridge (the more northerly one if you're keen on maps). Your car will be tolled if you cross this bridge in either direction. And since the toll is variable, this can rack up quickly! If you are in a rental car, often these come with Good-to-Go! toll passes so be aware of your rental car agreement. If you drive a non rental car, be mindful that tolls are sent by mail to your registered address.
Train
This train is a quick hop past all the North-South traffic that usually plagues I-405 and I-5 from the airport. It goes all the way to the Sea-Tac airport and has several downtown stops for quick travel around Seattle. Ticket machines are available at most stations. Fares are distance based. If you're planning on staying in the city over multiple days it might be worth it to download the ticket app to skip the line at the machine (plus it works for all other metro transit!) https://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/fares-orca/transit-go-ticket.aspx#how-it-works
