We're getting married!

Everyone is probably aware of how we met. A love story including a birthday, an accidental crashed wedding & many drinks that would lead to love at first Facebook message. On May 20th 2017, we met at The Park, a bar which unfortunately is now replaced by condos. I arrived at the location for a friends birthday and had a lovely evening with great friends and great vibes. If you know the Park, you know that the bar is nice, calm and filled with people eating. Alongside where we were standing was a very fun looking closed off room with loud music, people dancing and as second nature I gravitated toward the dancing with a friend. Little did we know, that a lovely couple was having their wedding party in that room. As no one asked to leave, we went to the bar to grab a drink & dance the night away. As I was standing by the bar, we noticed many dressed up people, one being Sjef. As I was missing a drink, I decided to walk up to Sjef and say hello in which his drunken response was not to respond. No problem, I walked back to the bar. As the night progressed & the drinks flowed, we ended up bumping into each other in another part of the bar where Sjef kindly offered me a drink along with his credit card which I gladly accepted both (thankfully I'm an honest person & returned the credit card). After a few fun hours, we lost each other however some of our friends connected and exchanged information. With that, Sjef had found my Facebook where I then woke up to a friend request from a Dutch man and from there on with a Facebook message, the conversations began. In September 2017, I booked my first trip to Amsterdam with no hesitation where I spent the best week with Sjef and from then on every few months we continued the adventures, traveling to Paris, Bali & more until I moved to Amsterdam on September 24th 2018. Since then, it has been nothing but amazing & we cant wait to celebrate our amazing day on July 12th 2024!
