Our story began long before we ever imagined it would lead to forever. Hugh and I have known each other since childhood. In fact, we were even classmates and attended the 8th grade formal together — a night full of innocent laughter and memories that we both still cherish. Though we shared a friendship in those early years, life took us in different directions when high school came around, and we lost touch for a while. However, fate had other plans. After several years apart, we reconnected one summer when we were both home from college. It felt as though time had stood still — yet everything had changed for the better. From that moment on, our bond grew stronger, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Fast forward six years, and we find ourselves here, preparing to begin the next chapter of our lives. In September of 2024, Hugh proposed in the most magical way, at the Land of Oz — a place that holds a very special place in my heart. Growing up, The Wizard of Oz was a story I cherished deeply, and the themes of adventure, courage, and finding your way home resonated with me. Hugh knew how meaningful this place was to me and chose it as the perfect setting for our proposal. The magic of Oz, combined with the love we share, made that moment truly unforgettable. We are so excited to take this next step, surrounded by our closest family and friends, and we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you.
