Cam and Tatum met during their freshman year of college as next door dorm neighbors at Boise State. Cam and his roommates knocked on their door to introduce themselves because they heard there were "gymnasts next door". This sparked a new friendship and deep connection between Cam and Tatum. It wasn't until 3.5 years of friendship later that they explored the possibility of a new kind of relationship. The foundation was there, so love grew fast and dating felt effortless. They began to travel and live in new states across the country with their dog Remi. Tatum worked as a travel occupational therapist and Cam continued his remote job in tech sales. Cam popped the question on October 10, 2025 in Boston. They are both now settled in Tatum's home state (Arizona) and are planning on buying their first home after the wedding!
