FAQs

Question

When should we arrive in France?

Answer

We recommend arriving in France no later than Friday, September 18th (traveling on Thursday the 17th if coming from the U.S.). Arriving on the 18th is the absolute latest we suggest. Anytime earlier is highly encouraged so you can adjust to the time difference, relax, and fully enjoy the celebrations without jet lag. Welcome Party: September 21 Wedding: September 22 Check-out: September 24 All specific event timing details can be found elsewhere on the website.

Question

Where should we stay before arriving at the venue?

Answer

We recommend staying in Paris for a few days before heading to the venue and taking advantage of everything the city has to offer. There are great hotels and accommodations throughout the city, so feel free to stay wherever is most convenient for you.

Question

What airport should we fly into?

Answer

The closest major airports are: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) Paris Orly Airport (ORY) Both airports are approximately 2.5–3 hours from the venue, depending on traffic. From either airport, guests can rent a car and drive or take a train (details below).

Question

What is the closest train station?

Answer

The nearest train station is: La Charité-sur-Loire station It is just 7 minutes by car from the venue. From the station, you can arrange a taxi in advance or let us know ahead of time and we can help coordinate a pickup.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Renting a car is recommended but not required. If you plan to explore the countryside or nearby towns and would like flexibility, a car will be helpful. If you prefer not to drive, the train plus taxi or pickup option works well — just plan ahead.

Question

Where are we staying?

Answer

We have reserved a beautiful private countryside venue in a charming French village that will comfortably host 50 of our guests on-site for the full wedding weekend. We would absolutely love for you to stay with us and make it a true weekend experience together. For $250 per person, your stay includes: 3 nights at the venue (09/21-09/24) Daily breakfast Tapas on the first evening Dinner on the wedding night Access to full kitchens and shared living spaces Nearly every guest will have their own private bathroom Staying on-site means no transportation stress, slow mornings with coffee/tea together, late-night conversations, and getting to fully enjoy the celebration without worrying about driving back elsewhere. Payment can be made to the bride or groom via Venmo. Guests beyond the 50-person capacity will need to arrange nearby accommodations, but are warmly invited to join us for all events on property.

Question

What about meals outside of wedding events?

Answer

Breakfast is included daily for guests staying on-site. Tapas will be provided on the first evening, and dinner will be provided on the wedding night. For lunches and additional meals, there is a nearby grocery store and local restaurants in the area. Because the venue is located in a small village, planning ahead is recommended.

Question

Do You Have a Registry?

Answer

Your presence in France to celebrate with us means so much, and we are incredibly grateful for the effort it takes to join us. As we begin this next chapter together, we have chosen to create a honeymoon fund in lieu of a traditional registry. If you would like to give a gift, a contribution toward our honeymoon would be sincerely appreciated and can be found here on our website. Thank you for celebrating with us - it truly means the world.

Question

Dress Code

Answer

For the cocktail hour and wedding celebration, we’d love for everyone to dress up and celebrate with us in elegant cocktail attire. Think polished, festive, and wedding-ready—we’re excited to see everyone looking their best! We’re also planning a fun field day with games on Wednesday, so please pack something comfortable that you’d be happy to move around and play in. While we’re hoping for beautiful weather, the evenings could be cool, even after warm days. We recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater, or wrap for the nighttime festivities. As the wedding date gets closer, we also suggest checking the local weather forecast before packing so you can come prepared for any changes in temperature or conditions.
